Saturday 1st April- Well today i have been to work. and i fed horses, turned out, did feed and water buckets. and then cleaned out 9 stables. so it has been very hard work. and i have hurt my back lol, so i wont be riding today.

Friday 31st March- Today me and my sister went up to the stables at 4:00pm. My sister rode amber and i rode midnight. Both horses did very well. I was rpoud with amber because she was such a good girl, doing her troting nicely. and i was happy with midnight because he was alot more responsive to my leg, when i asked him to trot he would do it straight away instead of me having to nag at him. So i was very pleased with both amber and midnight.

Wednesday 29 March- Well everyone i now own 2 horses, Amber and Midnight. I rode midnight yesturday and he was really good had loads of engery. I also jumped him and he was good but he didnt get excited as he usually does when he jumps, i think it was because i had work him hard. But he did well. I have alot planned for him, he does need alot of schooling to get him fit again, but im going to spend this year getting to know him better and getting him fit. and then i will think about showing him next year.

I took amber out on a hack yesturday she did so well bless her. We also had a canter and she was so good. She loves running with other horses. Its ambers day of today so she wont be ridden. But i am taking midnight on a hack today so will let u no how we get on.

Well just to let you know i took midnight on a hack today with my friend kate. it went really well the only thing was he kept trying to canter. and kates horse doesnt like walking through puddles, so he kept jumping over them and midnight kept trying to canter because they thought they where going to gallop. so we both did very well for our first time out together. We will get use to each other soon.

Tuesday 28th March- Guess what everyone. Im having Midnight on loan. i so cant believe it. I only have to pay £10 a week and to pay for his shoes. I was like wow. Im having another horse. Im jumping him tomorrow so wish my luck. I will let you know how i get on. and just to let you know i didnt ride amber today because the wheather was horrbile. So i just lunged her instead and she did so well bless her she is so good. Anyway i will also be riding her tomorrow so will let u no how she gets on. Thanks bye xxxxx.

Oh and guess what. My best friend amy was going to move to canada but she isnt :)  she is moving up near me instead. She is coming to live in Ilkeston. YES.

Saturday 25th March- Hello just thought i would let you know my first day doing my new job went great. I am there again next week and i get paid £5 an hour. So today i got £20. For people that dont no then i have a job at Woodpecker Stables, i will be doing my BHS exams there as well to be a BHSAI. After work i went to my uncles and then at 4:00pm me and my sister went to the stables. We went to fetch amber in from the field but this stupid horse turned round and kicked her. I felt so sorry for her bless her, she did nothing wrong. I went crazy at the horse. Amber didnt deserve a kick like that. I amber to bits she is my baby, anyway i best go.

Friday 24th March- Hello everyone. Well just to let you know my lesson on Midnight went really well. I didnt jump him today because his owner was coming to watch me and to give me some tips, but she couldnt come so we decided not to jump him this week. Today we went into  the jumping school and Midnight was really good. We did alot of troting and i found it alot better to keep my rythem. We also did some troting poles as well. which went great. My instructor said she was so pleased with how i ride him. Vicky who owns Midnight has asked me to have him on part- loan and i have been thinking about it and i have decided i am having him on loan. YES. i will try and get some pics of him and put them on the website

Thursday 23rd March- Me and amber had our riding lesson today at 4:30pm. We do usually  have it on a friday, but we had to change it. But today we did jumping. As you can tell we have been doing jumping every week because my instructor has been so pleased with our progress. and plus with the shows coming up we need all the practice we can get. She did trotting and cantering. But we didnt do alot of cantering because amber was lazy today and we didnt want to waste all her engery. We wanted her to save her engery for the jumping. When we moved onto the jumps we just did cross-poles but they where called a Bounce. What happens is we have 3 jumps close together. As soon as amber jumps the first one and lands, she then has to jump straight away again. It was fun amber really enjoyed it and so did i. So today went really well.

I have a lesson on Midnight tomorrow at 4:30pm. I did use to have a lesson on him on a saturday but had to change it as i wont be at the stables saturday morning, as i will be at Woodpecker stables doing my training. Tomorrow on Midnight i will be jumping him. Im not really looking forward to it because i have never cantered him yet, as we have only been working on his troting. and plus i have never jumped him. I have heard from his owner that he is a fantastic jumper and when ever he see's a jump he just wants to go and jump it. when she told me that i was like "ok thats great to no lol "  so i guess its going to be a fun lesson. will let you know how we get on.

Sunday 19th March- Well as you all know amber is used on a sunday bu another girl. She has a lesson on amber once a week. She is really nice. I just thought i would let you know that the lesson went fine today and amber was such a good girl. Well done babe xxxxxxxx

Saturday 18 Marth- GOOD NEWS. I went to my interview at Woodbecker Stables today to have a word with Emma who owns the yard and to also have a look around. It is great there i love it. They have offered me a place straight away and i said YES. I will be working for 4 hours a day and getting paid £5 an hour. and i will also be getting full training for my BHS exams to become a Horse Riding Instructor.

18th March- Hello everyone. Well today i had a riding lesson on Midnight, and it went really well. We just did our walking and troting. Im starting to get use to hit trot now because it is very different to ambers trot. I do well at first but then i start to loose my rythem. You see Midnight is the sort of horse that will stop. So if i kick him in trot then he will go faster, but then when i slow him down he stops. So it is very hard work. I have to try and work on my rythem and also work on keeping him going. But we will get there. Just going to take time.

Friday 17 March- Well today me and amber had our riding lesson. and its gone really well. The plan today was to try and get amber to canter round the jumping arena without stopping. We did want to try and make it 5 times all in one. But amber was struggling, so we only made her do it 2 times. and she did so well bless her. My instructor then set up 2 jumps. Both cross-poles with fillers and water trays. So i took ambers towards the first jump and she refused. I tried to make her go over it but she ran to side. So my instructor told me to turn her away from the jump and whip her. so i did and we tried it again. and then time amber went over it. She jumped them really high bless her. She thought they where so scarey. We then added another jump. Which made 3 alltogther. This time my instructor put this big wooden board under the jump. you know the boards with all the writing on them. So i took amber tothe jump, and what did we expect, she tried to refuse, but this time i was having none of it. I didnt let her run out, and i tried very hard to make her go over, and evtually she did. my instructor was like "wow you was very determind to get her over that, well done". so she did very well bless her.

The only thing we have notice with amber is that, the jumps where only 1 stride apart. but amber was still able to fit in another little stride and me and my instructor couldnt believe it. So she had to keep making stride smaller and eventually we was able to get amber to do 1 stride only between the jumps. So amber has been great. and i also think i have done very well to. :)

Wednesday 15th March- Well people i have some great news, amber has been doing so well with her training. She is cantering on the left rein on the correct leg every time. Which is fantastic. So well done to my baby amber.

Also, oh my gosh i never thought i would be doing so many shows. Me and my best friend have such a busy show season this year. We have the Ilkeston and Dristict Riding Club Shows, erm Caddington, Show Jumping Championships. and im sure we will fit many more in. Its going to be so much fun. and a great expereince.
