Your Questions To Amie.....

Have you got a question you would like to ask me, then please send your question to me now  showjumperamie@hotmail.com   I will email you back with my answer and i will also post your question up on this page for everyone else to have a read. Thanks

Are all of your family Horsey people?

Hello. Well half of my family are, and the other half arnt. One side of the family dont really like horses and think that i am mad to have one of my own. But the other side of the family are known as the Posh Fretwell's and they are into horses. I have a cousin who works with the army horses, they are the army horses that are sent from the queen. So he is very lucky to have that sort of job. and i also have a cousin who has 5 horses and is hopeing to open up her own Riding Centre. Which would be great because she said i can go down there and help with the horses. So really to make it easier the common side of the Fretwell's dont like horses, and the Posh side Fretwell's do like horses. So 50, 50 really lol.

So what have you got planned for the Future?

Well in a couple of weeks i will be starting my training to become a Horse Riding Instructor, which i cant wait for. I am also planning on getting another horse this year after the show season. Next year with my new horse i also hope to join the BSJA. and most of all i really hope to own my own Show Jumping Yard.

If someone asked you for a Show Jumping Tip, what would you say?

I would say "Do Not Look Down". Why? because if you look down when you are jumping, then thats where you will end up, on the fall. Any riding instructor will tell you that.

Who in the riding world is your idol?

That would be Ellen Whitaker as she is a great show jumper, and also my riding instructor Lauren Jollie as she has learnt me so much, she is the best instructor ever. No other instructor could beat lauren lol.

Dont want to sound horrbile, but why would your instructor be the best?

I know your not being horrbile and i didnt mean to sound big headed, im just saying out of all the instructors i have had lauren jollie is the best. Most of all is because she knows what she is doing, she is a professional, she rode for england and also trained in Germany for 3 years with the team. and also got 4th in the Eurpion games. Thats the reason why i think she is the best because she has the expereince.

If your twin sister is a model, then why arent you. and how come you didnt have to go to school in year 11. Wouldnt your mum have got done for that?

Its my twin sister who is the model. Just because she is a model it doesnt mean i have to be one lol. I was asked to do modeling but i said no because i love horses. and when i was in year 11 i was home schooled, so no my mum did not get done at all.

How many times you fallen of a horse? Whats the worst fall you have had? Which was the funniest?

Hello ok well i have fallen of horses 7 times now. and none of them have put me of riding. There have been bad falls, and not so bad. Ive always got up and jumped back on. (ive only got 2 more falls to go, because they say when you have fallen of 9 times you are classed as a good rider). The worst fall i had was when i was having a lesson on my horse amber. We was cantering and amber fell, and we both fell to ground, i went flying over ambers head, and amber fell down on her front legs and nearly rolled on top of me. Amber was that close to falling on top of me, even my instructor had to close her eyes. Amber got up fine, but my instructor made me lie on the floor a bit because i had hurt myself. About 5 mintues later i got up but she wouldnt let me get back on amber. So that was my bad fall. Erm the funniest one was where in my lesson me and amber had to jump the grey wall. Which we did but amber jumped to early and jumped very big. and when she landed i got thrown onto her neck, and i was there holding on while my instructor was laughing her head of. and i slowly slid down ambers neck. so there we go lol.

When you have finshed your training and are a fully qaulififed Riding Instructor, what do you plan to do next?

Hi thanks for your question. Once i have done my training i will want to start teaching straight away. But i want to be a Freelance Instructor, thats where i work for myself and teach people on there own horses. I will also probably get a job at a stables somewhere to help me get more money.
